Believe it or not, the rain did actually stop and the sun came out in full force, just in time for Deirdre and her parade to don their shades and get down to the Clapham common music festival, Get Loaded in the Park.

The jerk chicken was smoking, the beer tent heaving and the dance tent packed whilst the DJ’s blasted out funky beats. The music from the main stage pleased the party-goers as Beth Ditto from the Gossip crowd surfed the sun-kissed dancers. Deirdre and her parade mused at the spectacle, making sure they stood well to the sidelines for that affair!

As Iggy and the Stooges belted out their final song, the tequila ran dry and darkness began to creep in – the merry parade jumped in a cab in the direction of Notting Hill to carry on the festivities at a roof-top party....good job it was bank holiday Monday!
