Rich Mix is starting off with a bang this autumn by bringing you its Highlights and Previews season. As part of this, we are very excited to celebrate the official opening of Rich Mix on Thursday 9 October 2008.

To start the party off right, we are proud and blessed to have Jazzie B OBE as our headline artist. What else is there to say? As one of the most innovative and imaginative bands of the 1980s Soul2Soul were seductive and deep. They borrowed from everything from Motown to Philly, old soul and reggae and created a truly British sound that was impossible to ignore.

Soul2Soul is 20 years old this year. Where else would you expect Rich Mix to go to set the tone for the Highlights and Previews Season, other than to the source?

There will be a fusion of live music on the night to accompany Jazzie’s set, including John Pandit Sound System accompanied by guest Dohla/Tablar players; Opera singer and composer Errollyn Wallen, as well as Jorgee Crecis, a site specific dancer, working with African traditions and Frederick Opoku-Addaie.
