Venue Review
Character: Unusual boutique hotel in West London, which is tranquil by day, buzzy by night
Funky Features: Integral private members' club, intimate brasserie, charming hotel, 14 impressively equipped snug and homely bedrooms, Games Room, Play Pen and Playground.
Location and History
High Road House is situated at the heart of Chiswick on the High Street amongst small cafés, shops and public transport. Twenty minutes from Central London and from Heathrow. Within proximity of the pleasant greens of Richmond and Kew Gardens.
Interior
High Road House is a charming, intimate building which feels like a rather special private home. Upstairs is a more formal area for dining and wining its bright shaded wallpaper and modern wall lights contrasting with the dark flooring; downstairs is a more ‘chilled out’ space for lounging, partying and unwinding. Upstairs is only for members and is not available for private hire. Up on the third floor of the hotel you find 14 small, impressively equipped snug and homely bedrooms.
Spaces for Hire
Downstairs at the House has a partyish mood featuring lower ceilings, recessed lighting and a daring red and black colour theme. The downstairs area can be hired as one space for meetings, lunches or dinners for up to 60 or cocktail parties for up to 150. A selection of canapés are available as well as a Bites menu and Bring Me Food menu offering a range of seasonal fish, meat and vegetarian options.
This space can be divided with red satin curtains, into 3 separate rooms: Games Room, Play Pen and Playground.
The Games Room is peppered with red leather sofas and smart black coffee tables. A 40” Sony LCD, of course, with Sky Plus, is perfect for sports screenings.
The Playpen has a bar and seated area and is ideal for an informal lunch or dinner
The Playground has a 60” Sony LCD TV with Sky Plus and DVD Low-level seating and white tables are suitable for eating and brainstorming. This space is appropriate for a business meeting, presentation or screening.
