Venue Review

Character: The ultimate retro-futuristic disco; intimate size, mega impact.

Funky Features: Famous luminous kitsch chic dance floor from ‘Saturday Night Fever’ or Pulp’s video for ‘Disco 2000’, Garden of Eden VIP area with a real tree, ‘ice-sculpted’ bar with glittering icicles illuminated by a spectrum of coloured fibre optics.

Location and History

A subterranean venue just off Regent Street, The Eve Club is easily accessible for those travelling by car, tube or bus. It has been here since 2003. Before then, it occupied an historic location at 189 Regent St, where it was a popular hang out for all manner of stars and personalities, amongst them Frank Sinatra and Judy Garland. In 2003, it transferred to it current location, taking along its original spirit and much of its original décor too.

Interior

At the heart of The Eve Club is one of the most famous luminous glass dance floors in London. Familiar to anyone who has seen ‘Saturday Night Fever’ or Pulp’s video for ‘Disco 2000’, the flashing multicoloured dancefloor is the very height of kitsch chic. The Garden of Eden VIP area explores a similarly extravagant theme. This opulent roped-off mini lounge features, appropriately enough, a real tree. Adjacent to the Garden of Eden is a stunning ‘ice-sculpted’ bar, its glittering icicles illuminated by a spectrum of coloured fibre optics.

As with its street-level sister venue the Number 3 Bar, the Eve Club demonstrates exotic influences; but downstairs the look is turbo-charged and sprinkled with the essence and style of that ultimate New York party club, Studio 54. The seating is low and large, and the walls are decorated in a sort of high-octane neo classical style – here a mosaic, there a Roman mask. It all adds up to an intoxicating cocktail of styles which mix surprisingly harmoniously.

Spaces for Hire

The Eve Club is available to hire in its entirety, and can accommodate up to 200 guests till 3am. It is worth booking well in advance, however, as this is a hugely popular venue.
