Location and History

This understated private members’ club is tucked away in the centre of Oxford. Housed in a Grade II listed building it is as renowned for its variety of events, cosy corners, as well as the quality of its private parties. The Corner Club, owned by A Curious Group of Hotels, is an ideal venue for work, rest or play and is a popular and comfortable haunt of academics, authors and entrepreneurs.

Interior and Spaces for Hire

The bar, dining areas, and the private Turl and Ship rooms are available for hire to both members and non-members.

The Turl Room can hold up to 50 people standing and is ideal for private film screenings or book readings. A dining table can also be placed in this room to seat 16 guests for lunch or dinner. Tables can be moved from each floor and there are Wi-Fi and media connections available for the mounted plasma TV and projector screen.

The smaller Ship Room can cater for up to 6 guests. The front dining room, the main dining area, has a traditional rustic atmosphere with a large fireplace and fits up to 45-seated guests. The furniture can be rearranged to suit individual preferences.

The Club Room‘s inviting décor takes inspiration from both spring and autumnal colours. This would be perfect for pre-dinner or post-dinner drinks with an intimate group of friends. Soft sofas and comfy cushions create a homely atmosphere; and the large black piano completes a charming picture. The Club Bar is ideal for anyone wanting a private party in a chic and stylish setting.
