Venue Review
Character: A lovely Palladian villa still set in 66 acres of riverside parkland.
Funky Features: The last complete survivor of the elegant villas and gardens which bordered the Thames between Richmond and Hampton Court in the 18th century. A fine collection of early Georgian paintings, including portraits of Mrs Howard and her circle. A unique paper has been designed to fit the room, each sheet different and hand painted by Chinese artists.
Location and History
Set in delightful wooded parkland with views towards the River Thames, Marble Hill House is an elegant venue for special events. It was built in the 1720’s for Henrietta Howard, Countess of Suffolk and mistress of George II and became one of the most fashionable residences of the period where artists, authors, poets and politicians of the day frequently gathered.
Interior and Spaces for Hire
Marble Hill House is set in a peaceful wooded parkland with stunning views of the River Thames. The beautiful rooms offer a spectacular location for evening receptions and wedding ceremonies.
