Venue Review
Character: Clean-cut and functional converted warehouse with a gentle, homely feel.
Funky Features: Breakoutspaces: as an ingenious way of refreshing a meeting, Wallacespace offers a selection of ‘cubby holes’ into which group members can retreat for intimate focus sessions or to brainstorm ideas as small collectives. Galleryspace – a series of art exhibitions are peppered throughout the building. These are curated in-house, and offer clients colour and culture between meetings.
Location and History
Wallacespace is conveniently located between Covent Garden and Holborn – a handily-placed central London venue for seminar sessions, training days, or even a cocktail reception
Interior
Wallacespace is a highly versatile, utilitarian space that’s light and simple without being soulless or austere. Many of the original warehouse fittings remain intact; but the designers have varied the carpet colour from room to room. This lends character to the layout and give a handy reference for visitors, with each room titled by combining number and carpet colour, e.g. 04 Purple, 06 Green…
Wallacespace tips its hat, here and there, to contemporary culture through the use of modern and contemporary furniture by Arne Jacobson and Jasper Morrison.
The Caffèspace, in the uppermost level of the Wallacespace, makes the very most of the light that pours through its vast industrial windows and you can give your employees, colleagues or party guests an extra sense of wellbeing by ordering from a tasty and health-conscious menu.
Spaces for Hire
Wallacespace is divided into three key elements: Thinkingspace, Caffèspace and Galleryspace.
Thinkingspace comprises nine well thought-out rooms designed for meetings, workshops, seminars and the like. Typically, a Thinkingspace room will comfortably accommodate around 20 people. But some rooms feature collapsible partitions resulting in capacities of up to 80.
Caffèspace has an open-plan eating and relaxing area, equipped with Sky TV, daily newspapers, many leading periodicals, chilled drinks and fresh tea and coffee. As standard in Wallacespace’s daily delegate rate, the following is included: a working breakfast; an energising lunch; constant refreshments and a kitchen flexible enough to cater for any dietary requirements. By night, Caffèspace can be transformed into an alluring party venue for product launches and receptions.
Galleryspace refers to the commercial gallery aspect of Wallacespace. The works are chosen to enhance the productivity of visitors. And if you like a piece enough, you can buy it – all the works are for sale.
Brainstorming and Creative Workshop spaces are also available for hire at Wallacespace.
